ITINIRARY:
Starting from São Paulo, take the Via Dutra road in direction of Jacarei and São José dos Campos. When reaching São José take the road SP99 in the direction of Caraguatatuba, then in Caraguatatuba take the BR 101 road in direction to Rio.

An other possibility on the Via Dutra road is to pass away São Jose dos Campos and to continue until Taubaté. In Taubaté take the Oswaldo Cruz road in direction of Ubatuba, and in Ubatuba take the BR 101 in the direction of Rio.
Take care before the arrival to Ubatuba by coming from Taubaté, the declivity of the road is steep and it turns tighten.

TO AVOID : do not come by the road of Guaratingeta-Cunha on the North. Whatever is published in the official maps there is a piece of road of 6 miles length between Cunha and Paraty which is not finished, it's more like a hardly practicable trail and it's slippery by rain.

ARRIVAL IN PARATY:
The only one roundabout that you will cross on the BR101 marks the entrance of the city of Paraty.
When you enter in the roundabout take imediatly to the right, in the direction to downtown, you are now on the main avenue of the city. Within 50 meters from the roundabout take the second street on your left, this is rua Hum. At the end of this street take to the left again, you're entering in the rua Cinco, the entrance of the pousada is on your right.
